A dry cabinet for PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) provides a controlled, low-humidity environment to protect PCBs from moisture damage, mold, and electrostatic discharge (ESD). These cabinets are essential for storing moisture-sensitive devices (MSDs) and unpopulated PCBs to maintain their quality, reliability, and performance, especially in electronics manufacturing and assembly settings.
High humidity leads to moisture absorption in electronic components during the reflow process. Once microcracks are formed, moisture is drawn deeper into the material through capillary action, further exacerbating the cracks. In semiconductors and high-precision electronics, this can cause additional contaminants and moisture to enter sensitive areas, degrading performance.
Ultra Low Humidity Storage: Storing electronics in controlled, low-humidity environments (such as PCB storage dry cabinets) can reduce exposure to moisture.
Protective Conformal Coatings: Conformal coatings applied over circuit boards can protect components from moisture.

Dry cabinet for PCB, or dry box for electronics, use the patented dehumidifying technology. The dehumidifying system is controlled by a microcomputer. When the internal humidity is high, it starts to absorb moisture; when the humidity reaches the set value, it stops absorbing water and discharges water outside. This process is automatic, and by maintaining low humidity and stable conditions, dehumidifying dry cabinets effectively protect valuable and sensitive items from the damage of moisture.
This chart shows, in the ambient 25 degree C, humidity 50%RH, open door 30 seconds and then close, the humidity can recover to the set point within 30 minutes.
